Job summary

Southern Nazarene University is seeking a Director of Clinical Education to coordinate clinical sites for the PTA program, teach PTA coursework, and support students through clinical experiences. The role requires leadership in clinical education planning, implementation, and assessment, and involves collaboration with faculty and clinical sites.

The DCE will work as part of the School of Professional Studies, supervise faculty, and contribute to program policies, outcomes, and student success

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; a plan and timeframe for earning a Master's Degree if only a Bachelor's is held.
• Active, unencumbered PT or PTA license in any US jurisdiction; compliance with Oklahoma state practice act.
• Minimum 3 years of full-time post-licensure clinical experience in physical therapy.
• Minimum 2 years of SCCE/Clinical Instructor experience or teaching/curriculum/admin experience in PTA education.
• Contemporary expertise in teaching areas; ability to evaluate student learning effectively.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to manage multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned PTA courses and contribute to the advancement of the physical therapy profession.
• Coordinate and manage clinical education sites for the PTA program; place students in clinical experiences.
• Develop and implement clinical education planning, assessment, and site/faculty development.
• Evaluate and provide feedback on student performance; supervise clinical instructors and site coordinators.
• Recruit and maintain clinical relationships and contracts for clinical education placements; ensure scholarship and policy compliance.
