Job summary

Stanbridge University seeks a Director of Clinical Education for the PTA program to lead the clinical education component, coordinate student placements, and ensure accreditation readiness. The role partners with program leadership, clinical sites, and university departments to maintain high-quality, compliant clinical experiences.

The DCE will oversee affiliation partnerships, monitoring student progress, and support clinical instructors.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant education program.
• Current, active, and unrestricted California PT or PTA license or eligibility to obtain California licensure prior to employment.
• Master’s degree from an accredited institution in physical therapy, education, healthcare administration, healthcare leadership, or related discipline.
• Minimum of three years of full-time or equivalent post-licensure clinical practice as a PT or PTA.
• Minimum of two years of clinical practice experience as SCCE/CI or in teaching, curriculum development, and administration in a PTA program.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate clinical education activities within the PTA program.
• Develop, implement, evaluate, and revise the clinical education component of the curriculum.
• Coordinate clinical education schedules, student placements, and site requirements.
• Maintain accurate clinical education records, affiliation documentation, and evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with CAPTE standards and accreditation requirements.
• Collaborate with PTA program leadership and university departments on partnerships and policy.
• Mentor and support clinical instructors and SCCEs; promote professional development.
