Southern Nazarene University invites applications for a full-time Core Faculty member in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program. The role emphasizes clinical teaching, scholarly activity, and Christian mission within a CAPTE-accredited program.

The successful candidate will develop courses, mentor students, contribute to accreditation readiness, engage in research, and participate in campus life, chapel, and service. SNU’s mission is Character, Culture, Christ.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree or DPT with specialty.
• Active PT license in US with eligibility in OK.
• Minimum five years post-licensure experience with at least three years clinical.
• Experience in classroom, lab, or clinical teaching.
• Familiarity with CAPTE accreditation requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop syllabi, learning objectives, and assessments aligned with CAPTE standards.
• Deliver and refine didactic and laboratory instruction with evidence-based pedagogies.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship aligned with SNU’s mission.
• Participate in curriculum development, program assessment, and outcomes reporting.
• Maintain scholarly activity including research and conference presentations.
• Pursue funding or collaborative research opportunities.
• Serve on committees and support accreditation activities.
• Engage in service to the physical therapy profession and student recruitment.
