Job summary

Spire Orthopedic Partners in the greater New York area is seeking a Physical Therapy Technician to support clinicians in daily patient care. Responsibilities include preparing treatment areas, assisting with modalities, and maintaining equipment and supplies.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, at least one year of physical therapy or medical office experience, and familiarity with HIPAA and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of physical therapy experience, medical office experience preferred.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, insurance regulations, policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of safety hazards and precautions to ensure a safe workplace.

Responsibilities

• Keeps treatment areas neat and clean and prepares for patient care.
• Assists in escorting patients to treatment areas and prepares modalities under supervision.
• Assists with orientation and training of new physical therapy technicians.
• Maintains supply closet and conducts inventory; unpacks and checks orders.
• Maintains HIPAA/OSHA compliance and adheres to regulations.
