Physical therapists help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disability for any patient suffering from injury or disease. Therapy focuses on improving function, strength, balance and coordination with a goal of improving, restoring or maintaining how an individual functions at work and at home. Freeman therapists also teach patients to use assistive and adaptive devices, such as crutches, prostheses and wheelchairs.
Performs support functions within the therapy department. Assists with routine treatment procedures. Works under the direction of therapists and therapy assistants.
