Job summary

Concentra is seeking a Physical Therapy Support Specialist to assist the Center Therapy Director and staff therapists. You will manage referrals, schedule patients, assist with registration and front-office tasks, and help maintain department cleanliness and inventory.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least six months in referral management, with preference for medical office experience and HIPAA knowledge. Excellent service and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least six months of referral management experience.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of state occupational medicine requirements preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and PHI handling.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain authorizations for therapy treatments from clients/insurers.
• Maintain records for active referrals using referral module.
• Process referrals per state guidelines and client direction.
• Coordinate with clinicians to ensure referrals align with medical model.
• Schedule visits within authorized limits and ranges.
• Assist with front/back office duties and patient flow as needed.
