Job summary

Job description

Role Summary

As a Studio Coordinator (SC), you live your power by supporting the world‑class CorePowerYoga studio experience, coordinating studio operations and maintaining the highest health and safety standards. In alignment with our Core Values, you work alongside the Studio Manager to deliver results and sustained growth toward all current company and studio‑level goals. In the SC role you will learn the business and develop the skills to operate a studio.

Studio Presence and Guiding the Student Experience
  • Act as an ambassador of the CorePowerYoga Core Values and consistently inspire these values in others.
  • Support the Studio Manager in achieving company and studio level goals, including membership growth, retail sales, community outreach, teacher and SET recruitment, and programming enrollment.
  • Commit to a flexible schedule of 18–20 hours per week in the studio to support operations coordination and teaching (if certified), including health and safety protocol execution, front desk guidance, and team support and remain flexible with schedule availability within the hourly commitment.
  • Responsibly run the studio, acting as the point of contact for students and staff when the Studio Manager is not present, up to 20 hours per week.
  • Maintain an appropriate level of studio supply inventory so all provisions, amenities, cleanliness inventory, locker room amenities, towels, and programming materials are available for students at all times.
  • Engage the studio community, greet students by name, serve as an ambassador of yoga inside and outside the studio, and foster community at the front desk.
  • Support teachers’ learning experience of building proficiency with the POS and other pre/post‑class duties.
Coordinate and Execute Health, Safety and Cleanliness Protocol in the Studio
  • Uphold high standards for studio cleanliness and functionality, ensuring a safe environment, optimal heat and humidity, inspiring music, and a clean, clutter‑free surroundings.
  • Support communication around Smart Health Protocol to students upon entry and throughout their visit.
  • Act as an extension of the Studio Experience Team (SET) – clean the studio, stock amenities, and ensure the CPY cleanliness protocol is followed while on duty.
  • Support the SET team by interviewing applicants, hiring, scheduling shifts, stepping in for no‑call/no‑shows, training, disciplining or terminating SET employees who violate CPY policies and standards.
  • Lead orientation for new SET members and train them on cleanliness protocol and role expectations.
Coordinate Studio Systems
  • Act as a liaison between the Studio Manager and the teaching and SET teams for studio operational systems training and coordination.
  • Manage the Point of Sale (POS) system: sign students in, sell packages and memberships, and resolve account problems.
  • Support the Online Reservation System: follow up on late cancel fees, waitlists, and student support.
  • Provide support for the Subbing Application, HRIS Application, and help desk, including submitting facilities tickets and communicating follow‑up needs.
Teaching Schedule
  • Teach a minimum of six (6) CorePowerYoga classes per week.
  • Substitute additional classes as needed to support studio schedule.
Skills & Experience
  • Excellent oral communication skills, professionalism, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Completion of a Yoga Alliance certified 200‑hour program preferred.
  • Yoga Sculpt teacher training preferred.
  • Comfortable with studio systems such as HRIS, intranet, POS, scheduling, payroll, etc.
  • Ability to build relationships with individuals of diverse personalities and styles at all levels of seniority.
  • Thrives in a fast‑paced environment and can prioritize while working under multiple deadlines.
  • Self‑starter with the ability to take on new projects with enthusiasm.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Excellent time‑management skills and initiative.
  • College degree (BA/BS) preferred.
The Fine Print
  • Availability must match the needs of the business and leadership schedules – morning, evening, weekend, and some holiday availability and flexibility required.
  • Must be able to move around the studio space, crouch, reach, and lift up to 25lbs.
  • If certified to teach, must be able to step in to teach a class on short notice while scheduled in the studio.
