Job summary

Illinois Central College seeks a part-time Testing Specialist to administer placement and proctored tests at Peoria and East Peoria centers. The role supports student success, offers weekend/evening coverage as needed, and maintains records in the student management system.

Hours are typically Monday–Friday 8am–4:30pm, averaging ~29 hours weekly. Minimum qualifications include an associate degree, strong computer and communication skills, and the ability to read aloud fluently.

Position Title:PT Specialist - TestingCampus:Peoria CampusEmployment Type:Classified, StaffPart timeDepartment:TestingStart Date:09/10/2026Job Description:SummaryAs a member of the Division of Student Success at Illinois Central College, theTesting Specialist is essential in fostering positive student interactions, enhancing student-centered processes, cultivating a sense of belonging, and collaborating to support student success. Reporting directly to the Testing Administration Manager their focus is on performing testing administration duties by administering a variety of individual and group tests at both the East Peoria and Peoria Testing Centers. The Specialist may be asked to work an occasional weekend and evening as needed. This position helps to advance departmental and divisional goals while supporting the college’s overall mission and strategic priorities.Hours for this position will fall within Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm. Averaging to be about 29 hours a week.This position will remain open till filled.Compensation for the Testing Specialist is $18.08-20.34 an hour.Essential FunctionsThis list is meant to be representative, not exhaustive.
