Job summary

Illinois Central College is seeking a part-time Testing Specialist to join the Testing Center team at the East Peoria and Peoria campuses. The role focuses on administering a variety of individual and group tests, with hours typically Monday through Friday 8am–4:30pm and averaging about 29 hours per week.

Responsibilities include proctoring placements (Accuplacer, HESI), other ICC placement tests (BIO 205, Spanish, Music Theory), and handling test-related inquiries by phone, email, or in person.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; strong computer skills and MS Office proficiency.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to read fluently and maintain effective working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Administer placement testing (Accuplacer, HESI) and related exams.
• Proctor and schedule ICC proctored tests (make-up, accommodated).
• Load score data into the student management system.
• Provide test-related inquiries in person, by phone, mail, or email.
• Support weekend and evening testing as needed.
