Primary Purpose

The primary purpose of this job is to bag items at checkout, put bags into carts, restock returns, retrieve carts from the parking lot, vacuum front-end, restock coolers, and collect trash.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Review work schedule, check equipment and supplies, and prepare for duties at the start of each shift.
2. Collect and operate trash compactor, perform housekeeping duties, and keep work areas clean.
3. Collect, stack, and push carts back to the front of the store.
4. Demonstrate good customer service skills.
5. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Effective communication and understanding of company policies and safety regulations.
• Ability to meet ergonomic and physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to use or learn to use job-related equipment and tools.
• Meet performance standards, including regular attendance.
• Complete the company’s introductory (probationary) period of 30 or 60 days.
• Perform all job functions safely.
• Wear proper clothing and shoes approved for the job.
• Maintain valid licenses, certificates, or permits required for the position.

Physical Requirements

• Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shifts or more as needed.
• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Stand for 55%, walk for 45% of the shift.
• Max pull static: 20 lbs.

Preferred Requirements

• Understanding of company policies and procedures as outlined in the manual and handbook.
