Job summary

Easter Seals Tennessee is looking for compassionate DSPs to help people with disabilities learn, work and participate in their communities. The role is based in person-supported homes and includes shift work on Fridays and Saturdays from 4 PM to 12 AM.

We offer a starting pay of $15 per hour, tenure/pay scale, annual bonus, shift premium on weekends, and comprehensive benefits including health, life, and long-term disability insurance, plus retirement options and PTO.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have valid automobile insurance.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must pass a background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide caregiver assistance with daily activities (meal prep, personal hygiene, medication administration).
• Support individuals in the community and with community involvement.
• Assist with therapeutic and behavioral plans in collaboration with clinical staff.

Our Direct Support Professionals (DSP) are the exemplary reflection of the wonderful mission-driven work we do here every day. At the end of your workday, you know you have made a difference in someone's life. Based in our person supported home, DSPs provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration. DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals in the community. In addition, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
