Job summary

Easter Seals of Tennessee is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to help people with disabilities learn, work, and participate in their communities. Based in person-supported homes, DSPs provide daily living assistance and coordinate with clinical staff.

This role emphasizes compassion, reliability, and a positive attitude. Starting pay is $15 per hour with a $1 shift premium on Saturdays and Sundays, plus health and life insurance and a 403(b) plan with generous PTO.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have valid automobile insurance.
• Pass a background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meals and personal hygiene.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor health needs.
• Support community involvement and collaborate with clinical staff on therapeutic plans.

Our Direct Support Professionals (DSP) are the exemplary reflection of the wonderful mission-driven work we do here every day. At the end of your workday, you know you have made a difference in someone’s life. Based in our person supported home, DSPs provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration. DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals in the community. In addition, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
