Job summary

Easter Seals Tennessee is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with disabilities in daily living, community activities, and in-home supports. You will help with meals, hygiene, medications, and participation in therapeutic plans.

Training will be provided to succeed in this mission-driven role. Starting at $15/hour with a $1 shift premium on Saturdays and Sundays 9am–9pm, plus health, life, LTD insurance, 403(b), and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have valid automobile insurance.
• Basic computer skills.
• Pass a background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Direct Support Professionals provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
• DSPs may accompany individuals in the community to support therapeutic and behavioral plans with clinical staff.
• DSPs help enhance quality of life by supporting individuals in their person-centered home.

Our Direct Support Professionals (DSP) are the exemplary reflection of the wonderful mission-driven work we do here every day. At the end of your workday, you know you have made a difference in someone’s life. Based in our person supported home, DSPs provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration. DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals in the community. In addition, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
