KRE Security is seeking a Part-Time Afterschool Security Officer to serve the Lehigh Valley area, specifically Macungie, PA. The role runs Wednesday–Friday, 2:45 PM–6:45 PM, providing a secure and welcoming presence during afterschool hours at local schools.

Ideal candidates are dependable, professional, and able to interact respectfully with students, families, staff, and visitors. This position follows the academic school calendar with occasional Saturday coverage possible.

Qualifications

• Complete all required background checks and clearances.
• Complete training mandated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for School Security Officers.
• Maintain all required certifications and training throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interior and exterior patrols according to the school's daily event and activity schedule.
• Maintain a visible and professional security presence.
• Monitor entrances, exits, hallways, common areas, and exterior areas.
• Assist with afterschool activities and events to ensure safety.
• Interact professionally with students, families, staff, and visitors.
• Observe and report unusual or unsafe activity.
• Follow site-specific post orders and client requirements.
• Complete required activity logs and reports.
• Work outdoors when required, including during inclement weather.
• Provide additional Saturday coverage when requested by the client.

We’re looking for a Part-Time Afterschool Security Officer to join our team in the Lehigh Valley area. This is a permanent position following the academic school calendar, providing security and a welcoming presence during afterschool hours.

What You'll Do

As an Afterschool Security Officer, you’ll help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for students, families, staff, and visitors.

• Conducting interior and exterior patrols based on the school's daily event and activity schedule.


• Maintaining a visible and professional security presence.


• Monitoring entrances, exits, hallways, common areas, and designated exterior areas.


• Assisting with maintaining a safe environment during afterschool activities and events.


• Interacting professionally and respectfully with students, families, staff, and visitors.


• Observing and reporting unusual or potentially unsafe activity.


• Responding appropriately to security or safety concerns.


• Following site-specific post orders, procedures, and client requirements.


• Completing required activity logs and reports.


• Working outdoors when required, including during inclement weather.


• Providing additional Saturday coverage when requested by the client.

Every day can look a little different depending on the school's activities and event schedule. Your ability to stay alert, approachable, and adaptable is an important part of the job.

• 21 years of age or older as required by our contractual agreement with the client.

• Able to conduct both interior and exterior patrols.


• Willing to work outside when required, including in inclement weather.

• Comfortable following school security procedures and client requirements.

Security, education, customer service, military, law enforcement, or other public‑facing experience is a plus, but reliability, professionalism, and the right attitude matter just as much.

Required Background Checks & Training

• Complete all required background checks and clearances.


• Complete all training mandated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for School Security Officers.


• Maintain all required certifications and training throughout employment.
