Job summary

KRE Security is seeking a Part-Time Afterschool Security Officer for the Lehigh Valley area. The role runs Wednesday through Friday from 2:45 PM to 6:45 PM, with a permanent part-time schedule following the academic calendar. You will help create a safe, welcoming environment for students, families, and staff at Macungie, PA schools.

We value reliability, professionalism, and a positive attitude. Training and background checks per Pennsylvania requirements are provided.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interior and exterior patrols according to the daily event schedule.
• Maintain a visible, professional security presence on campus.
• Monitor entrances, exits, hallways, common areas and exterior spaces.
• Support afterschool activities and events while ensuring safety.
• Interact respectfully with students, families, staff, and visitors.
• Observe and report unusual or potentially unsafe activity.
• Respond promptly to security or safety concerns.
• Follow site-specific post orders and client requirements.
• Complete activity logs and reports.
• Occasionally provide weekend coverage as requested.

We’re looking for a Part-Time Afterschool Security Officer to join our team in the Lehigh Valley area. This is a permanent position following the academic school calendar, providing security and a welcoming presence during afterschool hours.

What You'll Do

As an Afterschool Security Officer, you’ll help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for students, families, staff, and visitors.

• Conducting interior and exterior patrols based on the school's daily event and activity schedule.


• Maintaining a visible and professional security presence.


• Monitoring entrances, exits, hallways, common areas, and designated exterior areas.


• Assisting with maintaining a safe environment during afterschool activities and events.


• Interacting professionally and respectfully with students, families, staff, and visitors.


• Observing and reporting unusual or potentially unsafe activity.


• Responding appropriately to security or safety concerns.


• Following site-specific post orders, procedures, and client requirements.


• Completing required activity logs and reports.


• Working outdoors when required, including during inclement weather.


• Providing additional Saturday coverage when requested by the client.

Every day can look a little different depending on the school's activities and event schedule. Your ability to stay alert, approachable, and adaptable is an important part of the job.

Who We're Looking For

• 21 years of age or older as required by our contractual agreement with the client.

• Comfortable following school security procedures and client requirements.

Security, education, customer service, military, law enforcement, or other public‑facing experience is a plus, but reliability, professionalism, and the right attitude matter just as much.

Required Background Checks & Training

• Complete all required background checks and clearances.


• Complete all training mandated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for School Security Officers.


• Maintain all required certifications and training throughout employment.
