Job summary

The Grand Pavilion for Rehabilitation and Nursing at Rockville Center is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join a geriatric-focused skilled nursing team. The RT will evaluate and treat residents independently, perform bedside therapies, and maintain patient records.

Licensure in the practicing state (RRT or CRT) with BLS, plus a passion for geriatric care and experience in long-term care. Weekend shifts are required, with 4–6 hours per shift and up to 8 hours depending on

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program and licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state of practice and BLS certified.
• Experience in geriatric and long-term care settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques for rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Provide bedside treatments and staff in-services quarterly.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings and track caseloads.

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a part time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required

Qualifications/Requirements

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing BLS certification.

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
