Job summary

Kinney Pharmacy is seeking a pharmacist to dispense prescriptions, counsel patients, and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines in a busy community setting.

The role oversees third-party claims, inventory management, and coordination with the Kinney Warehouse and suppliers. It emphasizes customer service, staff training, and adherence to loss-prevention policies while maintaining records and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• BS or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy is required.
• Compliance with state and federal guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions and counsel patients following Kinney Standard of Practice.
• Oversee third party claims submission, processing and collection.
• Manage and balance pharmacy inventory for maximum turnover and in-stock levels.
• Ensure pharmacy files and records meet state and federal guidelines.
• Maintain professional pharmacy environment and customer service excellence.
• Train and develop pharmacy staff including Kinney Clerk/Technician training.
• Interface with auditors and external agencies as required.

Job Duties:Follows the Kinney Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions and counsel patientsPerforms all quality assurance steps to ensure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed. Reports dispensing incidents in a timely manner, in accordance with company guidelinesFollows all State and Federal guidelines governing the practice of PharmacyOversees the initial submission, resubmission and collection of all third party claimsManages and balances the pharmacy inventory to provide for maximum turns while still remaining in-stock for customer needs.
