Barrios Fine Mexican Dishes in Oklahoma City is seeking an energetic Host to warmly greet guests and manage seating with care for flow and guest satisfaction.

You will welcome guests, escort them to tables, manage the Resy queue, and communicate with servers and managers to ensure smooth service and a memorable dining experience.

Qualifications

• No previous restaurant experience required.
• Stand for long periods (up to 6 hours).
• Communicate clearly in the predominant language(s) of our guests.
• Exceptional grooming habits.
• A passion for EXTREME HOSPITALITY.

Responsabilités

• Answer phone professionally according to restaurant standard.
• Warmly greet guests on arrival.
• Open the front door for guests when possible.
• Know restaurant standards, table numbers, wait sections, menu, specials, and be able to answer questions.
• Take reservations and enter on Resy according to restaurant standards.
• Record guest names and number of people in party on Resy wait list when immediate seating is limited.
• Call out name and number of party when tables become available.
• Provide guests with estimated waiting time.
• Accommodate special seating requests when possible.
• Seat guests based on preferences while balancing customer flow in service stations.
• Relay messages to servers, bus and manager as needed.
• Help with bussing and drink service if time warrants.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure smooth operation.

Barrios Fine Mexican Dishes is located in the heart of Midtown OKC and known for our vibrant atmosphere, made-from-scratch menu, and one of the best patios in town. We’re looking for energetic and enthusiastic Hosts to join our team!

POSITION SUMMARY

Welcome and warmly greet guests on arrival. Manage the efficient and timely seating of our guests to a table that best serves their wishes and keep the flow of restaurant service smooth, while upholding a Good Egg Dining Group's mission to positively impact lives by building enduring memories and multi-generational relationships through a dedication to executional excellence, intentional service, extreme hospitality, and culinary trust.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Answer phone professionally and according to restaurant standard.
• Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival.
• When possible, open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant.
• Know restaurant standards, table numbers, wait sections, menu, specials, and be able to answer any questions customers may have effectively.
• Take reservations and enter on Resy according to restaurant standards. Prompt customer for additional information and email whenever possible.
• When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in party on Resy wait list.
• Call out name and number of party when tables become available.
• Provide guests with estimated waiting time.
• Accommodatespecial seating requests for guests whenever possible.
• Seat guest/guests based on preferences and while balancing customer flow in service stations.
• Be able to re-work existing reservations and waiter sections to accommodate walk-ins and unexpected last minute reservations. Inform Management and staff of changes.
• Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server's name. Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness.
• Relay messages to servers, bus and manager as needed, especially guest notes from Resy.
• Help with bussing and drink service if time warrants.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• No previous restaurant experience required.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 6 hours).
• Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in the predominant language(s) of our guests.
• Must have exceptional grooming habits.
• A passion for EXTREME HOSPITALITY.
