Job summary

A Good Egg Dining Group in Oklahoma City is seeking a friendly host/hostess to warmly welcome guests and manage seating to best fit their wishes while keeping service flow smooth. The role emphasizes extreme hospitality and a thoughtful guest experience.

Responsibilities include answering phones, taking reservations in Resy, greeting guests, and coordinating with servers and managers to ensure a memorable dining experience at the front of house.

Qualifications

• No prior restaurant experience required.
• Stand for long periods (up to 6 hours).
• Clear communication in the predominant language of our guests.
• Exceptional grooming habits.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone professionally according to restaurant standards.
• Greet guests warmly upon arrival.
• Open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant when possible.
• Know restaurant standards, table numbers, wait sections, menu and specials, and be able to answer guest questions effectively.
• Take reservations and enter on Resy according to restaurant standards. Prompt for additional information and email when possible.
• Record guest names and party size on Resy wait list when immediate seating is limited.
• Call out name and party size when tables become available.
• Provide guests with estimated waiting times.
• Accommodate special seating requests for guests when possible.
• Seat guests based on preferences while balancing service flow.
• Re-work reservations and waiter sections to accommodate walk-ins and last-minute reservations; inform management as needed.
• Upon seating, offer a menu and inform guests of their server's name; inspect table for presentation and completeness.
• Relay messages to servers, bussers and managers as needed, including guest notes from Resy.
• Help with bussing and drink service if time allows.
• Thank guests and invite them to return.
• Be available to fill in to ensure smooth operation as directed by management.
