Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist the pharmacy manager in controlling inventories, tracking weekly sales, and ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demand and maximize profits.
2. Weigh, measure, mix drugs and other medical compounds, fill bottles with correct quantities, and advise self-medicating patients. Dispense non-prescription medications and communicate with health and insurance professionals.
3. Perform patient immunizations regularly.
4. In the absence of the Pharmacy Manager, schedule pharmacy staff, recognize and discipline associates as needed, and assign work to utilize skills effectively while meeting profit goals.
5. Support ongoing training and development of department personnel to improve performance, reduce turnover, and control labor costs.
6. Monitor and improve department operations to control expenses, meet labor goals, and reduce losses due to shrinkage.
7. Respond courteously to customer inquiries and complaints, counsel on prescription issues, and identify areas for customer service improvement.
8. Maintain a safe, clean department environment compliant with health and OSHA standards.
9. Keep accurate records and submit reports on department activities, performance, and discipline.
10. Ensure smooth department and store operations through cooperation with team members and superiors.
11. Perform any additional duties as required.

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or Pharm D
• State Pharmacist License
