Ascend Wellness Holdings (AWH) is looking to hire a Part-Time Dispensary Pharmacist for our Scranton location!

Job Summary

The Dispensary Pharmacist is a registered Pharmacist responsible for providing an outstanding patient experience while maximizing revenue goals, assisting the General Manager in leading the development of the dispensary staff, and ensuring compliance with inventory, security, and system protocols. This sales-oriented individual should be enthusiastic about the benefits of medical cannabis.

Part-Time employees work between 15-29 hours a week.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Become proficient with the point-of-sale system
  • Maintain all confidential information according to HIPAA policies and procedures
  • Conduct consultations via phone, in-person, and other approved methods, ensuring patients receive accurate and helpful information in a caring and compassionate manner
  • Mentor, motivate, and inspire staff through continual training on compliance and products
  • Invest in learning about our specific products and ongoing research on medical cannabis
  • Adhere to and promote a culture of positivity, professionalism, and compliance with policies and cannabis regulations
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures and execute company programs for customer service, patient management, and safety guidelines
  • Guide patients on cannabis recommendations including product selection, effects, potency, dosing, methods of consumption, and administration
  • Manage employee and customer concerns diplomatically, interfacing with the General Manager and HR
  • Report issues or complaints related to products to the General Manager in real-time
  • Work closely with the General Manager to drive sales, influence product sell-through, and ensure the dispensary's reputation among patients

Job Requirements

  • Successful completion of a BS Pharm or PharmD from an accredited university
  • Active medical/pharmacy license and registration
  • Cannabis knowledge and experience
  • Willingness to pass a comprehensive background check
  • Strong team management and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a demanding environment
  • Compliance-oriented attitude
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and multiple software platforms
  • Flexibility to work 3-5 days per week, including evenings and weekends, with opening and closing shifts
  • Ability to assist outside of assigned region as needed
  • Ability to educate the community on medical cannabis benefits and develop sales strategies
