Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist in controlling inventories by tracking weekly sales and ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demand and maximize profits.
2. Prepare medications by weighing, measuring, mixing, and filling bottles accurately; provide advice on self-medication; dispense non-prescription medications; communicate with healthcare professionals.
3. Perform patient immunizations regularly.
4. In the absence of the Pharmacy Manager, handle scheduling, performance recognition, discipline, and work assignments to meet company goals.
5. Support training and development of department staff to improve performance and reduce turnover.
6. Monitor and improve department operations to control expenses and reduce losses.
7. Respond to customer inquiries and complaints courteously; counsel on prescription issues and medication storage; collaborate with pharmacy manager on service improvements.
8. Maintain a safe, clean department adhering to health and OSHA standards.
9. Keep accurate records and submit pharmacy reports as required.
10. Ensure smooth department and store operations through teamwork and continuous improvement.
11. Perform staff duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or Pharm D degree.
• State Pharmacist License.
