Richcroft, Inc. in Maryland is seeking a Part Time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide hands-on care for individuals with developmental disabilities.

You will assist with personal hygiene, activities and outings, shopping, planning, cooking, and cleaning to support independence and community participation. This role requires patience and reliability, with the ability to transport individuals as needed.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 20 years of age.
• Must have at least 2 years driving experience.
• Current driver’s license (not provisional) with less than 3 points on driving record.
• Must be able to transport people supported as needed.
• Some lifting and transferring may be required.

Rate of Pay $22/hr

FLSA Status- Non-exempt

We are seeking a Part Time Personal Supports (DSP) to provide hands-on care to individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities providing assistance with personal hygiene, activities/ outings, social engagement, shopping, planning, cooking, and cleaning.

Support a young woman in the Ellicott City area with participating in activities in her community and developing independence. Assist with identifying and participating in new activities of interest, Special Olympics, and Parks and Rec activities. Work on skills like time management, money management, and growing independence.

Staff should be patient, respectful, trustworthy, and able to encourage and participate in living a fun and fulfilling life.

This position is:

• Th- 5p-9p (4)
• Friday 5p-9p (4)
• 8 hours/ week
• Occasional Saturday hours also available.

The schedule is subject to flexibility due to the needs of the individuals supported.

Some lift and transfer may be required.

Paid training, including CPR/First Aid, and opportunities to obtain Med Tech Certification!

DSPs assist with creating opportunities for individuals to live full and productive lives by:

• Assisting with the development of meaningful and personal relationships
• Implementing strategies to achieve individuals’ personal goals.
