This is a part-time position working two days per week, from 6:00am to 6:00pm, with some weekends required.

Summary of Duties:

The primary responsibility of the Cook is to prepare wholesome, nutritious, and attractive food served at the appropriate temperature, reporting to the Dining Services Director.

Essential Functions:

• Prepare and serve food using high-quality ingredients and proper garnishes.
• Follow recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency and cost management.
• Monitor food temperatures and properly store all foods.
• Label and date all foods, and maintain cleanliness of kitchen and equipment.
• Control waste and overproduction, comply with safety and sanitation regulations.
• Manage inventory and ensure proper stock levels.
• Perform general cleaning and safety checks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least two years of cooking experience, preferably in healthcare or hospitality.
• Serv-Safe Certification preferred.
• Physical ability to communicate, see, hear, lift up to 40 pounds, and perform related tasks.
• Professional appearance, good hygiene, and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must pass drug testing and background checks.
