Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA or PT program with a min. of an AAS degree.
• Current Texas PTA or PT licensure.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical teaching and/or clinical coordination experience.
• Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, problem-solving, and advising skills.
• Proficient with computer technology (word processing, email, database) or ability to learn.

Responsibilities

• Develops, monitors, and refines the clinical education component of the curriculum.
• Facilitates quality learning experiences for students during clinical education.
• Evaluates students' performance in cooperation with other faculty to gauge progression.
• Educates students and clinical and academic faculty about clinical education.
• Selects clinical learning environments with sound patient/client management and currency in practice.
• Maximizes available resources for the clinical education program.
• Provides documented records and assessment of the clinical education component.
• Engages core faculty in clinical education planning, implementation, and assessment.
