Job summary

Planet Fitness in Lancaster, SC is seeking a Cleaner to keep the club clean and safe on the first shift. This part-time position starts at $11 per hour with increases after 180 days, 1 year, and every 6 months on the anniversary.

Typical hours are Monday–Friday from 4:45am to 9:00am. Qualifications include prior custodial experience and a high school diploma or GED. Benefits include PTO, shift-differential pay, and access to a Black Card membership.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a daily cleaning checklist to ensure all tasks are completed.
• Clean and sanitize fitness equipment and gym floor.
• Clean and sanitize locker rooms, restrooms, showers, and lockers.
• Dispose of trash and stock supplies around the club and in locker rooms.
• Report broken or missing amenities or equipment to the Club Manager.

Cleaner Responsibilities

As a member of our staff, the Cleaner plays a significant role in helping to transform the lives of club members by providing a clean, sanitized and safe club environment.

• Thoroughly complete cleaning checklist daily to ensure all tasks are completed. This includes:
  • cleaning and sanitizing fitness equipment and gym floor
  • cleaning and sanitizing the locker rooms, restroom facilities, shower facilities and locker area
  • properly dispose of trash stock all supplies around club and in locker rooms
  • report broken or missing amenities or equipment (toilets, faucets, showers, hair dryers, gym equipment, etc.) to the Club Manager

• Successful prior custodial experienced preferred
• High School diploma/GED preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Physical Demands

• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Continual standing and walking during shift
• Frequent climbing, balancing, kneeling and crouching during shift
• Continual reaching with hands/fingers/arms during shift
• Will encounter cleaning chemicals during shift
