Job summary

National Fitness Partners, the largest Planet Fitness franchise, is seeking a dedicated Cleaner for our Altoona club. You will help provide a clean, sanitized, and safe environment for members and staff, with hourly wages that start at $12 and include shift differentials.

In this role you’ll follow a cleaning checklist, maintain facilities, and support a welcoming Judgement Free environment. Growth opportunities and benefits accompany performance growth over time.

Qualifications

• Successful prior custodial experience preferred
• High School diploma/GED preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

• As a member of our staff, the Cleaner helps transform lives by providing a clean, sanitized, safe club environment.
• Thoroughly complete cleaning checklist daily to ensure all tasks are completed.
• Clean equipment and gym floors, locker rooms, restrooms; dispose of trash; report broken items to the Club Manager

Hourly increases at 180 days, 1 year and every 6 months, after the first year, based on anniversary date.

Cleaner Responsibilities

As a member of our staff, the Cleaner plays a significant role in helping to transform the lives of club members by providing a clean, sanitized and safe club environment.

Thoroughly complete cleaning checklist daily to ensure all tasks are completed. This includes:

• cleaning and sanitizing fitness equipment and gym floor
• cleaning and sanitizing the locker rooms, restroom facilities, shower facilities and locker area
• properly dispose of trash stock all supplies around club and in locker rooms
• report broken or missing amenities or equipment (toilets, faucets, showers, hair dryers, gym equipment, etc.) to the Club Manager

Qualifications Job Requirements

• Successful prior custodial experienced preferred
• High School diploma/GED preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Physical Demands

• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Continual standing and walking during shift
• Frequent climbing, balancing, kneeling and crouching during shift
• Continual reaching with hands/fingers/arms during shift
• Will encounter cleaning chemicals during shift
