Job summary

The Ruby Slipper Cafe in Mobile, AL seeks friendly servers to deliver exceptional brunch service to our guests. You will embody the brunch lifestyle, take orders, deliver an outstanding dining experience, and help guests feel at home from arrival to departure.

We value teamwork, quick thinking, and a welcoming smile. This position offers day-shift hours and the chance to grow within our all-day brunch concept. Previous restaurant experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced brunch setting is preferred.
• Ability to communicate with diverse guests.
• Basic math and cash handling skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods up to 10 hours.
• Able to lift and carry trays up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all guests.
• Take orders and relay to kitchen and bar.
• Handle payments and close checks at the end of service.
• Maintain cleanliness and setup of dining area.

Job Summary:

Provide friendly and responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all our guests. Each server's primary objective is to embody that brunch life and give our guests a little lagniappe to create those raving Ruby fans!

What does it take to be a Ruby Krewe Member?

• A firm belief that butter and bacon make everything better!


• Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our Guests


• Must have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions


• Possess basic math skills and can responsibly handle money and operate a point-of-sale system


• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours)


• Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25lbs
