Job summary

The Ruby Slipper Cafe in New Orleans is seeking friendly servers to deliver a warm brunch experience. Provide attentive service, describe menu items, and handle orders and payments with a POS system to enhance guest satisfaction.

You should be able to stand for long periods, lift 20–25 lbs, and communicate clearly with guests. This role offers daytime shifts, growth opportunities, and benefits.

• Excellent communication and guest relation skills.
• Basic knowledge of dining room operations and service procedures.
• Able to handle money and use a POS system.
• Able to stand for long periods during shifts.
• Able to lift and carry trays weighing 20–25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for guests.
• Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages.
• Process payments and operate the POS system.
• Maintain a clean, organized dining area and assist other team members as needed.

Job Summary:

Provide friendly and responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all our guests. Each server’s primary objective is to embody that brunch life and give our guests a little lagniappe to create those raving Ruby fans!

What does it take to be a Ruby Krewe Member?

A firm belief that butter and bacon make everything better!

Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our Guests

Must have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions

Possess basic math skills and can responsibly handle money and operate a point-of-sale system

Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours)

Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25lbs
