General Summary:

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. This includes maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork. We offer generous benefits, flexible schedules, and prompt pay.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers positively, answering questions and resolving inquiries.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store environment.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates on operational practices.
• Assist in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring stock from the stockroom to the sales floor.
• Support ordering, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Contribute to loss prevention efforts.
• Take on management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 55 lbs, with capability for standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
• Flexible full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills: Customer focus, potential development, results orientation, organizational and communication skills, problem-solving, and relationship management.
