Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio (BGCNEO) is seeking a PT Assistant Club Director to support After School Teen & Youth Program operations at the Erie Teen Center Club in Sandusky, OH. This role reports to the Club Director/Regional Area Director and involves assisting in location management and staff leadership.

Ideal candidates have a four-year degree and experience in program management, supervision, and community engagement; a background check and drug test are required.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in related field from an accredited college or university.
• 1 year work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the development needs of young people
• Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, and the recruitment and retention of key personnel
• Ability to recruit, train, supervise & motivate staff
• Effective communication skills both oral and written
• Final candidates must clear a background check and drug test

Responsibilities

• Assist Club Director with recruiting, selecting and managing program staff
• Ensure programs & services prepare youth consistent with BGCA's commitment to quality
• Promote, stimulate and recruit student membership for the Club
• Perform administrative and operational tasks
• Cultivate positive and beneficial relationships with local businesspeople, school officials, politicians, parents and other social service agencies and the community
• Ensure building and property of the Club are safe, clean and in good condition for daily programming
• Provide guidance and be a Role Model
