Job summary

UM Health - Sparrow is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide treatment to assigned patients in accordance with the plan of care. You will support a patient-focused, experience-based service and assist in delivering high-quality rehab programs.

Qualifications

• Valid State of Michigan Physical Therapy Assistant License
• CPR/BCLS certification
• No prior work experience required
• Associate degree in Physical Therapy
• Knowledge of physical therapy theory and techniques
• Knowledge of hospital policies and HIPAA/JCAHO rules
• Strong documentation and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy treatments per care plan
• Teach patients safe transfers and daily living activities
• Document treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries
• Coordinate with Physical Therapist, nurses and physicians
• Schedule treatments and refer patients to other services
