Job summary

Golden Orchards is seeking Resident Aides/Med Techs to provide compassionate care to our residents. You will assist with daily living activities and administer medications under physician orders, while maintaining a clean, safe environment. Orientation and ongoing training are included, with opportunities for growth and PTO from day one.

• Experience with medication administration and seniors

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (transfers, bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility)
• Administer medications and injections per physician orders
• Keep environment clean and handle light housekeeping
• Follow infection control and safety procedures
• Monitor residents and communicate changes to supervisor
• Assist with meal trays and feeding as needed
• Answer call lights and respond promptly to resident needs
• Support team members with duties as required
• Document medications accurately

As a Med Tech you will be in charge of

• Providing assistance to residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking
• Administering medications and injections to residents based on physicians’ orders recorded in medical charts
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the environment which may involve light housekeeping duties
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures
• Monitoring for changes in residents’ conditions and promptly communicate any changes to the supervisor
• Following schedule, assisting residents with repositioning
• Adhering to procedures regarding documenting of medications accurately
• Utilize good judgment in providing client care and ensuring their safety
• Assisting other team members with their duties as necessary
• Responding to call lights and assess residents’ needs promptly
• Obtain meal trays and assist with eating
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
