Job summary

Golden Orchards is seeking a Med Tech to provide medication administration and daily living assistance to residents in a welcoming environment. You will participate in orientation and training with a focus on safety and compassionate care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with daily living activities (transfers, bathing, dressing, toileting, walking)
• Administering medications and injections per physician orders
• Maintain cleanliness and perform light housekeeping
• Follow infection control procedures and safety standards
• Monitor residents and communicate changes to supervisor
• Assist with repositioning and follow schedules
• Accurately document medications
• Provide care and ensure resident safety
• Assist other team members as needed
• Respond to call lights promptly and assess needs
• Assist with meal trays and eating
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

As a Med Tech you will be in charge of

• Providing assistance to residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking
• Administering medications and injections to residents based on physicians’ orders recorded in medical charts
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the environment which may involve light housekeeping duties
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures
• Monitoring for changes in residents’ conditions and promptly communicate any changes to the supervisor
• Following schedule, assisting residents with repositioning
• Adhering to procedures regarding documenting of medications accurately
• Utilize good judgment in providing client care and ensuring their safety
• Assisting other team members with their duties as necessary
• Responding to call lights and assess residents’ needs promptly
• Obtain meal trays and assist with eating
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
