Plains Area Mental Health Center in Ida Grove, IA is hiring a full-time Psychotherapist to provide outpatient therapy for children and adults. You will assess needs, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate referrals.

The role supports a hybrid schedule (in-person plus up to two remote telehealth days) with commensurate pay, benefits, and on-call rotation. Licensure as LMHC/LISW/LMFT or temporary licensure required; MA/MSW or equivalent degree.

Qualifications

• MA/MS/MSW or Equivalent degree from an accredited program.
• LMHC, LISW, LMFT, or Temporary Licensure (tLMHC, tLMFT, LMSW) required.
• Valid Driver’s License and Insurance (preferred)

Pay Range:

Temporary Licensed - $50,000 to $70,000 base salary (30-40 hours per week) depending on experience. $5,000 increase for obtaining full licensure.

Fully Licensed - $60,000 to $80,000 base salary (30-40 hours per week) depending on experience.

PAMHC is looking to hire a full-time Psychotherapist for our Ida Grove office. Full time is a minimum of 30 hours per week to maintain full benefits. 40 hours per week is preferred, but hours are negotiable. This position is hybrid with in-person and up to two remote telehealth days once telehealth case load can be supported.

Position Summary:

Offer case, program, and community consultation, and respond to emergencies when needed. Assess needs, make diagnoses, and develop treatment plans during sessions with children and adults. Provide outpatient therapy and brief counseling for clients of all ages. To support clear communication, coordinated care and improve client outcomes, take part in regular team reviews. Team up with internal Case Mangers to coordinate referrals to Psychiatric, Community Support, Habilitation, Peer Support, and other appropriate services. Complete and maintain proper documentation according to PAMHC standards. Participate in the required on-call rotation, with additional pay for on-call work.
