Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for Psychology/Psychiatry to provide care management for an outpatient panel. You will be the primary RN contact, coordinating care, triaging symptoms, educating patients and families, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires WA RN licensure, BLS, and strong communication and critical-thinking skills. Oncology experience is a plus; compensation includes pay ranges and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required.
• RN license in WA or current MSL with WA as primary state within 60 days of hire.
• BSN preferred; oncology/outpatient experience is a plus.
• BLS certification required every two years; additional dept certs may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients’ physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs and plans care.
• Educates patients, families and caregivers on disease, treatment, side effects, and symptom management.
• Coordinates with inter-disciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and referrals as needed.
• Performs direct patient care tasks including chemotherapy education, dressing changes, and medication administration.
• Engages in research integration and quality improvement activities.
