Job summary

Chattanooga State invites applications for Adjunct Instructors in Psychology. Instructors will teach assigned classes across formats (virtual, online, hybrid, on-ground), with emphasis on on-ground daytime availability and our Dual Enrollment program.

Under supervision of Department Head and Lead Faculty, duties include maintaining a positive learning environment, evaluating student performance, recording attendance, and completing required trainings.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master’s degree in Psychology or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in related fields.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse student populations in verbal and written form.
• Experience or ability to support holistic student services and diverse learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned classes using appropriate instructional practices in virtual, online, hybrid, or on-ground formats.
• Maintain attendance records and evaluate student performance on assignments and exams.
• Record mid-term and final grades according to policy; complete mandatory trainings as required.
• Support college policies and the Dual Enrollment program where applicable.
