Join to apply for the Psychologist - Remote role at Loyal Source Government Services.

This position involves performing Medical Disability Examinations (MDE) for veterans filing disability claims related to mental health conditions such as PTSD, Depression, and Anxiety through the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA). These comprehensive mental health exams include assessments and medical opinions, without providing treatment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct standard outpatient assessments and evaluations.
2. Request psychological and neuropsychological testing services.
3. Participate in peer consultations, staff meetings, and training sessions; ensure determinations comply with VA guidelines; perform other duties as assigned.
4. Perform non-MD clinical reviews, including requests for psychological or neuropsychological testing.
5. Perform comprehensive mental health examinations (e.g., PTSD, Depression, MST, Anxiety, Eating Disorders).
6. Write medical opinions for mental health claims as a subject matter expert.
7. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and VA policies.
8. Note: C&P mental health examinations are one-time, non-treatment assessments.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Licensed doctoral-level (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) Psychologist with a current, unrestricted license.
2. At least 2 years of post-licensure experience.
3. Proficiency with Windows OS, Outlook, Word, Teams, and Excel.
4. Dedicated secure workspace with high-speed internet access.
5. Graduated from an APA-accredited program or school.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience conducting C&P exams (training provided).
2. Diplomate of the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) or ASPPB Certificate of Professional Qualification (CPQ).
3. Experience in managed care, peer reviews, and working with commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare lines.
4. Experience with CPT and HCPCS coding, higher levels of care, pediatric populations, substance abuse, and evidence-based treatments.
5. Advanced computer skills, organizational skills, and strong communication abilities.

Compensation

Pay rate: $61.21 + $4.93 per hour for health & welfare benefits.
