Job summary

Lundbeck in Escondido, CA is seeking a Psychiatry Account Manager to drive promotion of our neuroscience portfolio. You will lead sales strategies, develop accounts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve growth while maintaining high clinical and regulatory standards.

The role requires 2+ years pharma sales, a BA/BS, strong communication, and willingness to travel 30–40% domestically within the territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Sciences degree from an accredited college or university.
• 2+ years pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biologics, medical device sales or related healthcare sales experience.
• Must demonstrate the intellectual capacity to score highly on disease and product training exams, including being certified on product knowledge annually.
• Self-starter, with a strong work ethic and outstanding communication skills.
• Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
• Must live within 40 miles of territory boundaries.
• Driving is an essential duty of this job; must have a valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Meeting and complying with reasonable industry-standard credentialing requirements of healthcare providers / customer facilities is required for continued employment with Lundbeck.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead account strategies using data-driven insights to maximize sales.
• Deliver messages clearly, probe needs, handle objections, and close with action.
• Build and maintain internal and external relationships aligning to customer needs.
• Gather market trends and apply therapeutic knowledge to spot opportunities.
• Navigate reimbursement issues with Lundbeck resources and payer dynamics.
• Apply regulatory knowledge and ensure compliance with Lundbeck policies and FDA rules.
