Job summary

Lundbeck seeks a Psychiatry Account Manager to promote its psychiatry portfolio, executing sales and marketing strategies with clinical knowledge to drive performance. You will lead comprehensive account plans, build critical relationships, and navigate reimbursement dynamics within a 40-mile territory from Escondido, CA.

The role requires 2+ years pharma sales, strong communication, and a commitment to product training and compliance with FDA regulations. Travel up to 40% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university.
• 2+ years pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biologics, medical device sales or related healthcare sales experience.
• Must demonstrate the intellectual capacity to score highly on disease and product training exams, including being certified on product knowledge annually.
• Self-starter, with a strong work ethic and outstanding communication skills.
• Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
• Must live within 40 miles of territory boundaries.
• Driving is an essential duty of this job; must have a valid driver’s license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Lead territory account planning using data insights to drive sales performance.
• Deliver messages clearly and persuasively to customers and close calls with a commitment to action.
• Build and maintain productive internal and external relationships aligned to customer needs.
• Apply therapeutic knowledge to identify opportunities and prioritize account plans.
• Stay informed on reimbursement dynamics and address payer issues with Lundbeck resources.
• Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and Lundbeck policies.
