Job summary

Compass Health Center in Silver Spring, Maryland, seeks a Psychiatrist to join our growing PHP/IOP program. The role emphasizes leading interdisciplinary teams and delivering comprehensive psychiatric care in a crisis-focused, patient-centered environment.

Ideal candidates are BE/BC in Psychiatry with an active Maryland license ( DC/VA preferred) and readiness to pursue cross-licensure. The position features a Monday–Friday schedule with limited on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must be BE/BC in Psychiatry.
• Active Maryland medical license; DC/VA license preferred.
• Willingness to pursue cross-licensure via Interstate Medical License Compact.
• DEA certification for Maryland required/maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care in PHP/IOP programs.
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnose, prescribe, and provide therapy.
• Lead multidisciplinary clinical teams and advise on treatment plans.
• Collaborate with family/individual therapists, nurses, and psychiatrists.
• Manage an average of 10–12 patients per day.
• Maintain Monday–Friday schedule with limited call.
