Job summary

Compass Health Center is seeking a Child, Adolescent, & Adult Psychiatrist for our Silver Spring, MD location. You will join an interdisciplinary team to deliver PHP/IOP psychiatric care, with autonomy to design individualized treatments, and contribute to crisis-level behavioral health services within a mission-driven setting.

The role emphasizes daily patient care, evaluations, medication management, and collaborative care with therapists and nurses in a growing program.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Adult Psychiatry.
• Active Maryland medical license; DC/VA preferred per license scope.
• Willingness to pursue cross-licensure via Interstate Medical Licensure Compact.
• DEA certification for the State of Maryland.
• Excellent communication and collaboration within interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care in PHP/IOP programs.
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnose, prescribe medications, and provide therapy.
• Lead multi-disciplinary clinical teams and guide treatment plans.
• Collaborate with family therapists, nurses, and other psychiatrists.
• Manage about 10–12 patients per day.
• Monday–Friday schedule with limited on-call responsibilities.
