Chrysalis Psychiatry in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a compassionate Psychiatrist for our growing outpatient practice. You will perform evaluations, build treatment plans, manage medications, and utilize TMS, with a focus on evidence-based care for PTSD, depression, and other conditions.

The role offers clinical leadership opportunities as Clinical Director, requires NM license and board certification, and supports professional development in a collaborative, on-site environment.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited institution and board certification in Psychiatry.
• New Mexico medical license or ability to obtain one.
• Experience providing clinical supervision to mid-level practitioners is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and commitment to professional development.
• On-site position in Albuquerque, NM with no remote option.

Job Type: Full-time, Exempt Chrysalis Psychiatry is a growing outpatient mental health practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico nestled in the Rio Grande Valley with the beautiful Sandia Mountains at its edge. We specialize in high quality, evidence-based treatments, offering comprehensive services such as medication management and interventional therapies for PTSD, depression, and other mental health conditions.

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatrist to join our team. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide medication management and psychotherapy.
• Administer TMS motor thresholds and monitor patient progress.
• Provide clinical supervision and oversight to mid-level practitioners, including ongoing consultation, case review, and support for clinical decision-making.
• Collaborate with the clinical leadership team to support quality of care, clinical standards, and professional development across the practice.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records; billing must match time scheduled with patients.

Leadership Opportunity

Clinical leadership opportunities are available for a psychiatrist interested in taking on additional responsibility as Clinical Director. The ideal candidate will have an interest in clinical leadership and may assume some or all Clinical Director responsibilities based on experience and organizational needs. Prior experience supervising nurse practitioners, physician assistants, or other mid-level practitioners is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in psychiatry.
• Valid medical license to practice in New Mexico.
• Experience providing clinical supervision to mid-level practitioners is strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Must maintain 32 clinical hours per week.
• Position is onsite in Albuquerque, NM, no remote option.
• Experience with TMS is a plus.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
