Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our psychiatric care team at Burlington Hospital. The role supports safety and compassionate care for patients in a residential or inpatient setting.

Under RN supervision, the PCT ensures patient safety and delivers therapeutic activities for psychiatric patients. The position involves one-to-one emotional support and carrying out treatment plan interventions, with vital signs and POC testing as required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a PCT or with Behavioral Health population.
• HS Diploma; Bachelor's degree in Psychology preferred.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety under RN direction and follow unit policies.
• Provide therapeutic group and individual activities for patients.
• Provide emotional support and behavioral redirection per multidisciplinary plan.
• Perform physical care including vital signs and Point of Care (POC) testing.
