Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a part-time Patient Care Technician in Burlington Hospital to ensure patient safety and support therapeutic activities for psychiatric patients. You will work under the RN while delivering one-to-one support and assisting with the multidisciplinary treatment plan.

The role requires a HS Diploma, with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology preferred, and at least 1 year of PCT or Behavioral Health experience.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of previous experience working as a PCT or with Behavioral Health population in a residential or inpatient setting.
• Experience in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures safety of the patient under the direction of the RN by implementing applicable policies and procedures when rounding on patients and unit.
• Provides therapeutic group and individual activity for patients.
• Provides emotional support and behavioral redirection to patients under the direction of the RN by implementing interventions from the multidisciplinary plan.
• Completes necessary physical care including vital signs and Point of Care (POC) testing.
