Job summary

Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel is looking for a Psychiatric Technician to deliver client care within a 24-hour framework, promoting safety and well-being in the Behavioral Health department.

You will engage clients and families in a therapeutic alliance, provide targeted interventions, and assist with escorting clients in Bethel as needed. A strong commitment to learning and collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; ability to take direction and learn.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• CPR, First Aid and Non-violent Crisis Intervention required within first 90 days of hire.
• A valid Alaska Driver’s License required within 90 days of hire.
• Basic computer knowledge and reliability are essential.
• Ability to work in residential treatment environments and document client progress.

Responsibilities

• Deliver client care within a 24-hour framework to promote safety and well-being in the assigned department.
• Create a healthy, safe environment and engage clients and families in a therapeutic alliance; provide interventions.
• Escort clients within Bethel and outside as needed; participate in social, educational and therapeutic activities.
