Job summary

The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel, Alaska seeks a Psychiatric Technician to support the DES team within a 24-hour framework. You will help deliver safe, structured client care and participate in therapeutic activities, escorting clients as needed.

Requires high school diploma; 2 years in psychiatric settings; CPR/First Aid; Mandt training; Alaska driver's license; background check. Generous PTO and comprehensive benefits beyond.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years experience in residential treatment or psychiatric settings preferred.
• CPR/First Aid within 6 months of hire.
• Mandt Training within 1 year of hire.
• Alaska Driver’s License and be insurable under corporate insurance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver client care within a 24-hour DES framework to promote safety and well-being.
• Escort clients within Bethel and outside of Bethel when needed.
• Engage clients and families in therapeutic activities as part of the DES team.
• Write progress notes in the electronic health record reflecting client progress.
• Respond appropriately to aggressive or violent client behaviors.
