Cape Fox Concentric Methods LLC is seeking a Psychiatric Technician to support the Navy Facility at Camp Pendleton, California. The role provides inpatient and outpatient care in the Acute Psychiatric and Intermediate Unit.

The position is non-exempt with a total hourly pay of $38.43 for up to 40 hours weekly, including a base rate of $33.34 plus $5.09 Health & Welfare. Benefits include holidays, paid leave, health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, and 401K

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Psychiatric Technician Program (or equivalent education/experience) meeting AAPT/based requirements.
• 1 year of experience after graduation.
• Proof of completing an Armed Forces course involving psychiatric technician training or civilian course in behavioral health care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct or assist in treatment and rehabilitation of patients.
• Perform basic assessment procedures including psychological testing, clinical interviewing, mental status exams, substance abuse evaluations, and nursing assessment.
• Identify mental health and nursing diagnoses and provide patient education.

Cape Fox Concentric Methods LLC is accepting resumes for a Psychiatric Technicianto support the Navy Facility at Camp Pendleton California.. The Psych Technician will provide inpatient and outpatient care at the Acute Psychiatric and Intermediate Unit.

The total hourly pay for this non-exempt position is $38.43per hour for up to 40 hours per week, which is comprised of a base hourly rate of $33.34plus $5.09per hour Health & Welfare (H&W) for up to 40 hours per week as required by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCLS) regulations. This rate represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Required:

• Graduation from an accredited Psychiatric Technician Program; or completion of an equivalenteducation and experience that meets the requirement of the American Association of PsychiatricTechnicians(AAPT) or completion of education and experience as a behavioral science specialist/technician in theUnited States military and proof of having completed an Armed Forces course involving psychiatrictechnician training or civilian course from an accredited school in the care of behavioral health patients.
• 1 year of experience after graduation.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct or assist in treatment and rehabilitation of patients. Perform initial basic assessment procedures including standardized psychological testing, clinical interviewing, mental status examinations, substance abuse evaluations, and psychological and nursing assessment.
• Identify mental health and nursing diagnoses and provide patient education.
• Observe, monitor, record, and report patient's progress.
• Conduct or assist in conducting group and individual counseling, therapeutic community, and other related milieu activities.
• Institute precautionary measures to prevent patient injury or suicide.
• Assist patients with nutritional, hygiene, and comfort measures.
• Obtain and record vital signs.
• Coordinate with other agencies regarding specified care, treatment, prevention, rehabilitation, and administrative functions. Contact military and community agencies to obtain collateral information.
• Explain and interpret mental health services to patients or others.
• Assist in, or arrange patient referral to public, private, and military community agencies.
• Prepare and maintain records and reports pertaining to specialty services.
• Assist with care of individuals experiencing acute and post-traumatic stress reactions.
• Prepare and maintain treatment records.
