Job summary

Natchaug Hospital in Mansfield, CT, seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver direct psychiatric care across pediatric/adolescent and adult units. The role involves working with a multidisciplinary team, leading staff, and developing treatment plans to support patients in a behavioral health setting.

The RN role requires an accredited nursing degree, CT license, and strong communication and critical thinking. Shifts include 3:00pm-11:30pm with every other weekend; a sign-on bonus and comprehensive

Qualifications

• Psychiatric experience preferred.
• Current Connecticut RN License.
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
• Effective leadership and delegation skills.
• Experience with leading behavioral interventions or managing violent behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care to psychiatric/chemical dependency patients, individually and in groups.
• Work under the direction of the Nurse Manager and/or RN Designee as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Lead teaching of other staff, contribute to program development, and guide group decisions and treatment plans.
• Improve overall quality of care and outcomes.
