Job summary

Manchester Memorial Hospital, Inc. in Connecticut is seeking an RN to provide direct and indirect patient-centered care in a high-demand setting.

Using the nursing process, coordinating care with the interdisciplinary team, ensuring safety, and supporting patients and families with compassionate care while adhering to PMT and de-escalation protocols when needed. Location at 71 Haynes Street; shifts are 8 hours.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and have a current Registered Nurse license with the state of Connecticut.
• Must have certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) upon hire.
• Must be trained in PMT and de-escalation techniques and receive certification within 6 months of hire into the role.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive assessments and reassessments of the patient's condition and care needs.
• Assess and reassess pain; educate patient and family on pain management.
• Develops and revises individualized treatment plans; involve patient and family.
• Follows the five medication rights and understands psychotropic medications.
• Documents nursing process and responses to care in a timely manner.
